ACCESS-ABILITY COMMITTEE
The Access-Ability Committee continues to develop and maintain a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment at the 411 Seniors Centre for persons with visible or invisible disabilities. The Committee had an exciting and productive second year! The highlight of which was an exciting new event called Sense-ability- a celebration of artists with disabilities. In addition to this the committee produced a Risk Management report which outlines the physical needs of disabled people within the building.
Events
Sense-ability Art Fair- held on International Day of the Disabled. The event featured the work of various local artists, as well as a moving presentation on the handy-dart transit system. The event was held in the cafeteria and was quite well attended by 411 staff, volunteers and members.
Thank you to all of this years fantastic performers: John Linnell- musician, Sharon Rowe, writer, Harry Pelech, painter, A.J. Brown, painter
